According to Forbes' latest list "The 100 Most Powerful Arab Family Businesses in 2021", released in May, the Ajlan & Bros Families ranked 34th. It's a notable rise from the 46th position on the previous list.
According to Forbes, the family businesses have greatly influenced the development of the Middle East and contributed significantly to the regional economy, outperforming non-family businesses. The Ajlan & Bros Family (“The Family” as below), according to public records, is influential in Saudi Arabia. In 1979, The Family started out in the clothing and textile business and opened its first men's accessories store in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. With excellent business reputation, the family continues to expand its apparel retail territory, cooperation with a number of international famous brands, has more than 6,000 wholesalers and retailers, and formally established the "Ajlan & Bros Group". The products are exported to the Gulf, Europe and the United States and other parts of the world. The Family then started investing in real estate, stock funds and bonds.
The family has always regarded China as one of its most important strategic markets. In 2017, the family officially established Ajlan & Bros Holding Group, with investment offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. Under the background of the continuous and in-depth docking between China's "One Belt One Road" initiative and Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030", the Ajlan & Bros Holding Group continues to pay more attention to China, establishing long-term and close cooperative partnership with Chinese enterprises in various fields, and jointly exploring industry development opportunities in the Middle East. In the future, ABHG is committed to building businesses hand-in-hand with leading Chinese enterprises as the Gateway to the MENA region, enabling the Chinese partners to realize their ambitions of becoming market leaders in MENA.
